Evidence Physical Activity

March 2022

This briefing helps set out what the evidence currently tells us about physical activity and health and wellbeing. It summarises the key findings from a rapid evidence review, commissioned by NHSE, and delivered by NASP’s academic collaborative.

  • These include improvements in physical and mental health, increased patient empowerment, and a reduction in health service use and costs
