We are delighted to announce that Dr Rachel Quinn has been appointed as NASP’s new Executive Director of Strategy and Partnerships.
Rachel Quinn has been Director of Medical Science Policy at the Academy of Medical Sciences since 2009. The Academy is the independent, expert voice of biomedical and health research in the UK, and its vision is good health for all, supported by the best research and evidence. Rachel has contributed significantly to the growth and success of the Academy, including by serving as Interim Executive Director and leading many strategic partnerships and impactful projects.
Rachel started her policy career at the Royal Society, where she initially led its work to influence environment, energy and climate change policy. She has a PhD in Ecology and is a Trustee of Crohn’s & Colitis UK. She will begin working with NASP in May.
At this crucial time for the future of social prescribing, we are thrilled to be welcoming Rachel to NASP. Rachel brings a strong track record of working with Government and the health sector at the highest levels, alongside outstanding leadership skills and relevant expertise, especially in evidence and research, policy development and influencing and advocacy, both in the UK and internationally.
