Event NASP Webinar: Housing support in social prescribing - information for link workers.

This webinar is part of our NASP webinar series for social prescribing link workers. The session is designed to be accessible and relevant to SPLWs working in a variety of health and community settings.

What is the role of housing support in social prescribing? Designed for social prescribing link workers (SPLWs) and those working across health, housing and community services, this session will focus on how housing can affect health and wellbeing, and how link workers can respond confidently and appropriately when housing issues arise. 

The session will cover common housing challenges that may arise in social prescribing conversations, and how these can affect people’s physical health, mental wellbeing and access to wider support. It will also help link workers build confidence in navigating local housing systems, understanding relevant thresholds and legislation, and knowing when and how to refer or signpost effectively. 

Through practical guidance and examples, this session will support participants to recognise different housing support options and consider what may be appropriate depending on individual circumstances. It is ideal for SPLWs looking to build confidence in managing conversations related to housing and connecting people to the right support.
