Innovation is essential to the advancement and progression of social prescribing. Over the last 6 months we have been curating the next phase of our work to support innovation in social prescribing, to increase the scale and impact of social prescribing activity across the country.
After the success of the Accelerating Innovation in Social Prescribing Programme, a partnership between NASP, NHS England and the Royal Voluntary service, we recognise the need to shine a light on the ground-breaking work happening throughout our regions, and support organisations seeking to innovate and strengthen their work.
This phase of innovation at NASP establishes a co-created set of priorities, to ensure innovation activity adds value, and supports areas of unmet social prescribing need. Our innovation offer brings together national and regional VCSFE organisations, the public sector and the wider social prescribing system to provide:
- A new Innovation Network, providing members with exclusive events, workshops and opportunities to connect with key stakeholders, address specific challenges and develop ideas.
- A platform to amplify your voice and share your own innovation activity to a national and global audience.
- A bespoke training programme to develop your knowledge in social prescribing and innovation.
- A hub of resources, news and information focused on innovation in social prescribing, including access to new and emerging research.
We have big ambitions for the future of innovation in social prescribing, and over the coming months will be working alongside members of the new Innovation Network to grow our offer even further and shape our delivery to be responsive to the opportunities and challenges within the sector.
