      Hi My name is David Russell and I have just joined the network. I am doing some development work for a church in Walsall, Church at Junction 10. The project is the Alumwell Resource Centre that will provide services to the Alumwell Estate area in Walsall as well as providing a home for the church. One aim of the project will be to promote health and wellbeing and working with other partners the plan is to provide a Community Connector/Liaison Officer to facilitate Social Prescribing and other health initiatives aimed at reducing health inequalities and promoting good health & wellbeing among residents.

      I am interested in connecting with others on the course who are working in the same local area.

      Hi David, welcome to the forum.

      Good to see you on here and part of the Midlands Learning Together programme.

      It is good to hear about your plans for the project to have a community connector role to facilitate Social Prescribing. I am sure as the network grows people will connect with you.

      I shall request that my colleague Charlotte is on here as she is well connected with the West Midlands.

      Thanks Sarah I look forward to connecting with Charlotte and building up connections in the West Midlands. i shall be attending the Walsall CCG Engagement Model Workshop on 31 March. Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group are looking to establish new ways of working and co-produce a participation model for engagement for the future.

        I have asked Charlotte to connect on here so when she gets a chance to join the Network she will be in touch with you.

        That is an interesting approach Walsall are taking I would like to be kept update on how you find the engagement model. Any feedback about how they are doing it and thoughts on whether you feel that is going to work would be really useful. If you feel it is a way of working that demonstrates good practice I could also encourage you to share it on the Ideas Hub. Happy to do it on your behalf if you keep me updated.
